A new primary school using modern methods of construction

The plans for the new primary school at St Josephs in Swindon are ambitious in both time and sustainability; it has to be built in time for the 2014 intake using low impact construction methods to create a highly insulated and airtight building.
The Cullinan Studio design embraces modern methods of construction, working rigorously with a pattern book of structural elements and creating a building that we think is greater than the sum of its parts.
Smith and Wallwork sat along side the client and team in producing supporting documents for the planning application including flood risk assessment, SuDS design and providing input to the school travel plan.
