Smith and Wallwork is providing civil and structural design for the £10m new sports and teaching facility starting on site in June 2016.
The project comprises a new Sport England sportshall and roof top MUGA as well as gym and studio space. The sportshall is also designed with raked seating to hold seminars for both students and community. The scheme also includes 8 new classrooms spanning over the sportshall and the refurbishment of the old school house into new offices and administration facilities. The five storey building is in a conservation area with restricted access and a full basement – all to be constructed within a live school campus.
