Twelve Architects win Rostov on Don international airport competition.
Twelve Architects win Rostov on Don international airport competition.
Twelve Architects design for the new airport sees a striking warped arch roof to the main terminal building and a control tower inspired by the hypar form. The airport is due for completion in 2018 when Rostov becomes a host city to the FIFA World Cup.
Smith and Wallwork supported Twelve Architects in the development of the terminal roof form and the feasibility of the control tower structure.

The project is also profiled in Building Design and can be seen here.
