Our project for Trinity Hall on Thompson’s Lane has received planning permission.

The project will deliver 72 new student rooms in the heart of historic Cambridge. Construction logistics will be challenging and our scheme uses cross laminated timber to reduce the number of construction deliveries and construction noise. Before the timber gets on site a large basement will be constructed using silent piling methods.

The construction process will be paused after sheet piling – archaeologists will excavate the basement, believed to contain up to 3m of made ground in which items of historical interest may be present.

Work on site will start in summer and the new building will be handed over to Trinity Hall in time for the start of the 2015 academic year.
